The former "Looney Bean" has new owners and a new name of "Stellar Brew Cafe & Deli". The other day we ate breakfast there in Mammoth. They have lovely cozy bohemian style seating inside or out. They offer organic foods with many tasty vegetarian/vegan options and many coffee selections. We tried the Mocha Vanille latte $3.30 and found it sweet and tasty. We had the omnivore and herbivores sandwich on Foccacia bread since the bagels were almost out. They had hummus, tomato, sprouts, carrot shreds (herb) and provolone cheese (omni). They were both delicious and around $6.

For dessert we had the cinnamon scone pastry with a medium roasted Ethiopian coffee. Yum is the verdict. Emma behind the counter was a great ambassador of friendly service as well. They do offer eggs, bacon and ham in some breakfast choices for meat lovers.

Bring your computer for FREE WI-FI!

If you mention Angel's Restaurant Discount, then they will take $1 off your order.

They offer a variety of coffees in a row of levered coffee dispensers or airpots for the customer's self-service. Some are organic and some are not. They are all fresh and delicious.

Thank you for such a wonderful review! We are so glad to hear that you had such a nice time @ our place. We just wanted to fix a little clerical error. Stellar Brew did recently go through a change of ownership however; it was 6 years ago that the Looney Bean moved to another location. The new owner is a born a raised local whose goal is to give her Mammoth family amazing (healthy/organic) food and coffee. It is our hope that all visitors will become part of our family.
